Mrs. Amber's PreK students completed their pet study! They learned all about animals and how to care for them. Students were able to adopt a dog to care for and get a Certificate of Adoption. The class also discussed how to care for their class pet rabbit, Rupert. Animal-shaped PB&J sandwiches were enjoyed by all students and Mrs. Harden stopped in to read a book about animals.

Mrs. Amber's PreK class at Rupert Elementary went searching for the Easter Bunny before Spring Break. Although they didn't find the Easter Bunny, they enjoyed their adventure on Rupert's walking trail. They had some creative time to draw their own bunny trails with sidewalk chalk before heading back inside the school.

After learning about Mexican hajalata (tin art) and Mexican folk artists' fascination with the sun, Mr. Warnick's 4th Grade Class at Rupert Elementary constructed their own Mexican-style sun. Mrs. Baker from Carnegie Classrooms taught the students about repoussé, a metalworking technique, and helped them create their own masterpiece using art foam, foil, and brightly colored sharpie markers.
